He is Richie... Richie Ryan, with out father or mother like the rest of us, was put in a foster home when he was very little. When his first foster mother died (the person he had thought was his mother for so long), he got bumbed from one foster home to another, but never really finding one where he fit in. He made it to the streets, stealing here and there, until one fateful day when he say two immortals fighting with swords. He followed them and eventually saw a quickening. Soon, however, he and Duncan became friends and have been for a long time now. About a year or more later, when walking to a car with one of his friends, Tessa Noel, he was held up at gun point and robbed. The robber panicked and shot him twice and Tessa once. They both died, but Richie sat up a few minutes later to find himself immortal. With Duncan as his teacher and friend, he soon became very good at using it. He took very few heads when Duncan was around, but when "Mac" took a dark quickening and tried to take Richie's head, Richie started going after immortals and taking heads. Any immortal he ran into he took their head. When Duncan finally came back, Richie started taking less heads and was once again Duncan's friend. Two events in his life that seem to stick out were when he met Kristen and fell "in love" with her, until she tried to kill one of his friends and then Methos took her head, and also when he met the "fake Methos" who preached peace. Richie almost lost his head, but Duncan and Methos finally conviced him to pick it up once again. Sadly for him, he lost his head in 1996 when Duncan mistook him for an evil person (Satn? the Devil?) taking his image. Yes, we all cried when he lost his head, but he still lives on.... Oh well, a little about the actor behind the character we all love. He started out, 4 years old, in a Campbell's Soup comercial where he went into modeling for a time. Unfortunatley, he left acting to attend school, a boarding school in New Hampshire and then he majored in poliical science (could you even imagine?!) at Duke University. One summer he worked in one play, and fell in love with acting. Once he graduated he got his Screen Actors Guild card in New York and then headed for LA. He appeared in a few tv series (briefly) like General Hospital, True Colors, and the Streets of Beverly Hills. He also guest starred in a friends episode as an underage boyfriend of Rachel . He became a regular in Highlander however, and blessed us for five seasons (when Duncan was hanging around him) untill he lost his head. :-< More is coming if I can ever find it.....
